Terrace

Terraces are formed by placing blocks of buildings with flat roofs one above the other. In most cases, this method of construction goes hand in had with the site topography. Armenia is a mountainous country, and since ancient times, terrace-architecture has been used in small and larger settlements. As such, terrace-architecture can be considered a common typology in the region’s architecture.
